“She’s A Seer” closes side one of the forthcoming album Land Of Dreams. Invoked from the same greasy-yet-ethereal grimoire of piano magick cast by the likes of Okies called Leon or Claude, our hero springs forth from the pickup truck bed of rural gun-toting youths, her freshly killed body foisted into our dreams, the she-coyote oneirically sublimating into the cosmic, anthropomorphised incarnation of the Ancient Greek divination practitioner of old. Or, look what I found on my trail cam. Bass guitar by Dan Brown, electric guitar by Steve Daly. Available digitally and on LP September 5th via Birthday Suit Records and co-distributed via Three Lobed Recordings and Redeye. Pre-order the album at Hans Chew's Bandcamp page. Special thanks to Cory Rayborn and Scott McDowell for bringing this album to life beyond the farm.
“Dying On Borrowed Time” is the first song on the forthcoming album Land Of Dreams. The song title was the idea of Dan Brown, who plays the bass guitar and some electric guitar. Steve Daly plays the lead electric guitar. Land Of Dreams is available digitally and on LP September 5th via Birthday Suit Records and co-distributed via Three Lobed Recordings and Redeye Worldwide. Special thanks to Cory Rayborn and Scott McDowell for bringing this album to life, and to Daisy the dog (the star of the video).

Long before the events of 2020 we had planned to move to Tennessee from New York City. Here we are now living in a house on a farm where we’ve built an art and music studio. This is the first song I’ve recorded here, and hopefully many more will come soon. It’s a fitting “end of summer” song, and especially important to me considering that my friend and long time collaborator Jason Meagher at Black Dirt Studio gave me this fantastic old Soundcraft sixteen-track analog console with which I used to record it, but more than that Jason turned me on to this song and The Beau Brummels in the first place. The original composition is a masterpiece written by Ron Elliott and Robert Durand and recorded with a time-stopping vocal performance from Sal Valentino of The Beau Brummels to match. Please seek the original version and enjoy. And thank you Jason Meagher…
Went into Black Dirt Studio with Garcia Peoples for one weekend of blind collaboration and came out with five recorded tracks. Thanks to Jason Meagher for pairing us up and engineering and facilitating the whole shebang! Check out the other NATCH releases, all free of charge (or donate what you wish to help Black Dirt continue to operate and help musicians make music affordably)!
